Today, we at Tiberian Dawn have come full circle.

One year ago today, we began a project to bring this nearly 13 year old game back to life, with artistic and strategic improvements that the original Westwood creators simply could not have envisioned back then.

When we started this, we knew well of the daunting tasks ahead of us, to ressurrect a game that not only brought back fond memories, but blended in new and interesting challenges to bring hardcore gamers into the fold.

Today is a proud day for us, as we have met our first year in the Tiberian Dawn project. In celebration, we are releasing 4 game updates:




This is good you say, but you would expect something a bit more erm... flashy, for our first full year?

Today the future of Tiberian Dawn has been announced, some of you may have heard rumors of this, but right now we can reveal what it is.

The team have been has been busy working away on something big for the past few months, that is why there has been no news since December.

This is so big in fact that I have only just been told about it. Heck I thought I was privy to everything that went on in this mod, apparently not, that is how big this thing is. I suppose that thought I was a weak link, an outsider still, well I don’t blame them, if I knew about this I would have gone running off to all the big news sites to show this off!

What is it, well this is the future of the mod, this is what Tiberian Dawn will be like when we are finished. This is in fact the future of gaming. This is what WestWood wanted to make back with the original Command and Conquer. This is the future of the PC.

Watch and behold my brothers, this is Tiberian Dawn!

Tiberian Dawn: New Format Announced

In the latest episode of Battlecast Primetime (That'd be episode number five for those of you who are keeping track) at the twenty-three minute mark Tiberian Dawn gets some sweet-sweet publicity for itself. It seems we're pretty rad.

On that note apparently I'm doing something rather strange here at Tiberian Dawn and that something is called a 'Tocsin's weekly blog', I heard APOC mentioning it but I can't for the life of me figure out what in the world that thing is. So if any of you spot one of these 'weekly blogs' you let me know, alright?

2008!

I know, I know, it's a tiny bit late but I wanted to wish the whole merry frelling lot of you a happy new year even if it has been a day or two since we moved on towards 2008. It'll be a brilliant year for us at Tiberian Dawn and you should be seeing really big things from us in the coming weeks and months, I can guarantee you that.

While we're on the subject and if you're seeing this early enough, at the time of writing this post there are still fourteen hours left to vote for Tiberian Dawn in the ModDB Mod Of The Year; so how about helping a mate out and going over to give us a vote, yeah?

Oh hey! I do have something: An RSS feed for TibDawn Frontpage News! Not just that, blogs and updates show up on it as well. Going to get a pretty little RSS button once someone can be arsed to fiddle about with the site to set it up.

One hundred men enter! Only five men leave! That's right the second phase of ModDB 'Mod Of The Year' voting has begun and you know who made it in there? We did! That's right, in phase two the field will be narrowed down to the top five - this isn't our fight though (if it was I'd be in there with jackboots and knife between my teeth hackin' and a-slashin'!) rather it's up to you gentle tiberium mutant soldier, armed with mouse and keyboard, up to you to springboard us forth to glory and riches the Tiberian future!
